Nigerian rapper Falz has said that he is no longer afraid of his life because of the state of things in the country currently.

Falz has been among the top celebrities who have been actively involved in the youth-led protests that have rocked Nigeria as they push for reforms in the police force.

Speaking during an interview with CNN, Falz said he is not afraid of dying because "I feel like I could easily die by anything else".

The rapper noted that Nigeria has poor health Infrastructure, high level of poverty, unemployment among other things that need people to come out and speak against and not keep quite for fear of being killed by those in power.

"If I don't come out and complain about the state of things, I feel like I can have an accident on my way to work and I can die because the state of healthcare is nothing to write home about," he noted.

"We don't have proper hospitals...people have to travel abroad to get proper healthcare," Falz added.

He also hit out at the government over reforms in the police force noting that renaming the dreaded Special Anti-Robbert Unit - SARS to Special Weapons and Tactics unit (SWAT) was not what they have been pushing for in the ongoing protests.

"Since 2017, they have been announcing that they have disbanded SARS, now is 2020 and after our protests, they announced that they are replacing it with SWAT, they just think we are stupid, they are remaining it and expect us to cheer them out," Falz noted.

Falz who is celebrating his birthday a week after the infamous Lekki shooting that saw at least 12 killed by individuals beleaved to be military personal also described the current situation in Nigeria as "infiltrating, annoying and frustrating".
