Rayvanny Crowns Diamond’ ‘godfather of Bongo Fleva’ Title

Tanzanian music star Rayvanny has hailed his boss Diamond Platnumz as the godfather of Bongo Flava music.
Taking to his Instagram page, Rayvanny posted a video of Diamond Platnumz performing at a CCM campaign rally surrounded by a huge crowd. In the caption, Vanny Boy noted that Diamond is one of a kind, and that’s why he easily manages to pull such crowds.
“Hata tuimbe hadi mawinguni hata tuwe ma star kama kina Michael Jackson ila wewe ni baba wa bongo fleva!!!!! Hapa wengi wanachanganyaga mambo kuna waasisi wa bongo fleva hiyo wewe unaweza hata usiwepo ila wewe umeupa thamani mziki wa Tanzania na East Africa toka uumbwe........” he captioned.

The entire Wasafi label has been out campaigning alongside other top Tanzanian artistes including Harmonize, Alikiba and Nandy.
Last week, Diamond and Rayvanny brought Mbeya to a standstill while campaigning for President John Magufuli’s re-election.
When their convoy arrived in Mbeya, thousands of residents followed them all through the town chanting praise songs for the duo.
Being Rayvanny’s hometown, he took the stage first and performed some of his massive tunes while requesting the residents to vote for the incumbent.
He got the chance to dance with the President and gifted him a bunch of bananas stating that it was a welcome gift to his Mbeya hometown.
On his part, President Magufuli honoured Rayvanny with the presidential campaign hat.
