Zambian songstress Kantu released her solo hit ‘Fragile Heart’ a few days ago much to the surprise of her fans.
‘Fragile Heart’ came two months after she publicly declared that she’d quit music.
Kantu; a talented songbird started has a musical career shy of a decade. It is something she enjoyed so much until the mass exodus from her record label XYZ Entertainment.
While at XYZ, she was famed for dope songs such as ‘Mungeli’ which was so good. When almost everyone left XYZ, she stayed and did more music but she got to her breaking point in April 2016 when she threw in the towel and ditched the label.
She took the unpopular path of going solo and released several songs and a year later, she had sunk so low due to challenges that come with a solo music career.
She gave up and got entangled in a love relationship that drew her further away from her music life. It goes without saying that all this made things very complicated. Fast forward to 2020, a frustrated Kuntu would in August openly thank her fans for the support over the years but announced her decision to quit music.
“I have decided to end my music career so that I can concentrate on other things. In life, we all grow, growth comes with change, and change comes with so many other things,” she told her fans.
However she promised to release one more album titled “Breathe’. It is for this reason that she is still releasing new songs, which are probably part of the pending album.
She recently released a new hit titled ‘Fragile Heart’. ‘Fragile Heart’ is a special dedication to men out there who are in the habit of playing around with women’s feelings at their pleasure.
Since an album mostly has over 10 songs, fans should expect her to drop more singles before finally bowing out completely.
