King 98 Explains How Working with Diamond Changed His Career

Zimbabwean singer King 98 has come out to explain how Diamond Platnumz has been instrumental in his music career.

According to him, after working with Diamond on the ‘Kachiri’ single, he was appreciated in his home country more.

“I feel big now, I never used to feel big. Once you have a song with Diamond, it shows you are very special,” said King 98.

Speaking during a recent interview, King 98 noted that working with Diamond gave him a new perspective of the WCB boss.

He talked about Diamond’s humility and his down to earth nature as a factor that contributed to them working together.

King 98 revealed that he met Diamond through Nigerian singer Davido. At that moment, King 98 was looking to expand his brand to East Africa and Diamond came in handy.

Notably, King 98 has worked with musicians like Davido, Nasty C, and Diamond. He added that getting a chance to work with the other global musicians gave him a new say in the Zimbabwean industry.

While starting his career, King 98 revealed that he was heavily criticized but thanks to his talent, he has managed to hold off the pressure.

King 98 has been in Tanzania for over two weeks holding several shows across Dar es Salaam.

He is currently working on an album with S2Kizzy among the executive producers.
