Diamond Platnumz has been in the music industry for over a decade now. Throughout the years, the singer has released several chart-topping hits that have traversed different parts of the globe.

The singer began his career from a humble beginning. Notably, he has featured several musicians over the years. For example, Diamond's first-ever song was a collaboration with an artist identified as Fatma.

The song dubbed ‘Toka Mwanzo’ also featured Diamond's official DJ Romy Jones.

According to Fatma, he had never heard of Diamond but knew Romy Jones through neighborhood friends.

Fatma added that before recording the song, she had to introduce Diamond to her mother for approval.

“Diamond alikuwa muoga na nikamwambia Romy siwezi fanya chochote bile kumwambia mama...nilimwambia mama akamkubali Nasibu...siku iliyofuata tulienda tukafanya kazi,” said Fatma.

Speaking during a recent interview, Fatma noted that after dropping the song they had to borrow money to look for clothes for the video shoot.

Interestingly, Fatma had been in the music industry for several years enjoying fame more than Diamond.

The singer established herself as a rapper with a focus on the crunk genre. She has collaborated with acts like Cheed Benz among others. Currently, she has ventured in the media industry.
