WCB singer Zuchu has explained the reasoning behind the double release of her ‘Cheche’ and Litawachoma’ songs two weeks ago.

Speaking during a recent interview, Zuchu revealed that they were scheduled to drop a new song last week.

As a tradition, Zuchu met with the entire Wasafi team and presented the two songs for voting.

She noted that both songs received a similar number of votes leaving the management in a dilemma.

However, Diamond resolved that they should do something new from the norm and release both projects at once.

“Kulikuwa na nyimbo mbili lakini, tukasikiliza watu wote nyimbo zote mbili. Kura hazikuwa zinabalance tuiashidwa kuelewa itoke ipi sasa...boss akasema we can do something new tutoe zote kwa pamoja,” said Zuchu.

She noted that before releasing any song, WCB members must ensure all singers have listened to it and vote. However, the final say lies with Diamond and Sallam SK.

After releasing the ‘Cheche’ video, Zuchu received a set back after it was pulled down from YouTube.

According to Zuchu, she panicked and hurt by the decision. By press time, the video was yet to be available on YouTube. Zuchu faulted YouTube’s policy on reporting copyrighted materials because it hurts musicians who are honest in their work.
