Alikiba Drops New Single ‘Mediocre’ Hitting Out at Critics

Tanzania singer Alikiba has dropped his third single for the year dubbed ‘Mediocre’.
‘Mediocre’ was released following a series of teases on his socials. On Wednesday, Alikiba through his Instagram account hinted about the project through various graphics.
In the song, Alikiba calls out people who approach life with mediocrity and casualty. He talks about his consistency in the music industry for the last 18 years.
At some point, he appears to fire shots at unspecified musicians who joined the music industry recently disrespecting legends like him.

“Mimi nafanya wimbo, wewe unfanya scandal uonekane...Marekani nishatamba, Ulaya yote nishatamba...tena unatukwana unajiona mjanjaa…mediocre, speed ya mediocre,” sings Alikiba.
Kiba has blended several sounds in this song. At the start, the song has some Afro Beat, Bongo, and also there are elements of reggae towards the end. He also puts in a blend of RnB to spice up things.
Early this year, Kiba dropped the ‘Dodo’ single and in May he released the ‘So Hot’ single just after the coronavirus lockdown.
This has been Alikiba’s busiest year dropping three songs, moving away from the traditional of dropping just one project. By press time, Alikiba had not shared any information regarding the song’s video.
