AFRICAN MUZIK MAGAZINE AWARDS (AFRIMMA) organizers have announced the nominees for 2020 awards. AFRIMMA 2020 is the 7th series of the awards which are themed to celebrate music of African origin; including but not limited to Afrobeats, Assiko, Bongo, Decale, Funana, Genge, Highlife, Kwaito, Lingala and Soukous.
Artists across Africa are carefully selected from the various genres for voting by fans before the grand announcements. It is indeed worth noting that art is dynamic and in its dynamic nature changes every season. Countries leading in Africa with these changes become Nigeria, which appears a record 51 times in the selection, South Africa and Ghana having 24 entries each, Kenya having 17, Tanzania filling in 19.

These countries have for a while now dominated in upscaling latest trends in music and dance. Take for example Nigeria, Burna Boy is at the top of the list with a current eight nominations, having won in two categories, "Artist of the year" and "Best Male Artist in West Africa" previously in 2019. The nominations are timely as they come after he recently released his Album, "Twice As Tall" and asserts Burna Boys musical footprint across Africa.
