Simi To Drop New Song Off Upcoming Project 'Restless II'

Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress Simi has announced that her upcoming project 'Restless II' will be dropping soon.

In a post on her social media pages, Simi, still enjoying massive airplay with her hit single 'Duduke' also revealed that she has signed a deal to join the Platoon distribution label.

"New week and new deal.
I'm officially part of the @weareplatoon
family! #RestlessII coming soon," read a post on her Facebook page.

And as her fans anticipate the 'Restless II' body of work, Simi has announced that she will be dropping a new song this Friday.

The new song is titled 'No Longer Beneficial'.

"1st single from #RestlessII
drops this Friday #NoLongerBeneficial...Finally! Who IS excited? #SIMIARMY," read another post on her Facebook.

Simi has already had a good year with the release of 'Duduke' video in which she used the reveal her pregnancy.

She gave birth to her first born son, Adejare (Deja) with her husband, fellow singer Adekunle Gold on May 30 this year.

The singer was recently nominated for several awards at the 2020 All African Music Awards (AFRIMA) among them Best Female West Africa with 'Duduke' video getting a nomination for the Video of the Year award.

'Duduke' video that has garnered over 18 million views will be battling for the Video of the Year with among others Burna Boy's 'Wonderful', Diamond’s ‘Jeje’, 'Jerusalema’ (Master KG), ‘Born To Win’ (Timaya) and Sauti Sol’s Suzanna.
