Ghanaian afro-Pop Musician and youth activist has come out to say that since he has not yet been officially served by the Accra High Court, he will go ahead and release his latest music video titled ‘Papa No’.

The ‘Apuskeleke’ hitmaker is being sued by a private individual identified as Abdul Ganiu Issaka who had sought an order for an "interlocutory injunction" to be placed on the video for the musician's new song 'Papa No' song. In this case, the injunction would stop Sydney Oppong Ofori and his Squadie Entertainment from officially releasing the ‘Papa no’ music video to the public.

Nonetheless, while speaking to Class News’ Nasaria Abdul Rahman, unworried Barima Sidney said that he had seen the restraining court order, but it will not stop him from releasing his music video, since the injunction had not been served to him in person. He further said that if he is not personally served before 3rd September, 2020, he will go ahead and release the video to music outlets, since this date is the official scheduled release date for the song.

“Well, I will say it is true. A journalist friend of mine sent me a screenshot of the suit or whatever yesterday at 6 pm. We didn't even understand it so we forwarded it to a lawyer and later in the evening, the lawyer confirmed that it is true. But then since I haven't been served directly, let's just hold on. So it is true.

“Definitely, we plan on releasing it tomorrow so far as I haven't been served yet. So we will still go ahead and release the video tomorrow. I'm listening to the directives from my lawyer. They know best so whatever they say...,” Barima Sidney said.
