The FOMO was real on Saturday August 22nd 2020. (I'm highlighting the date for those who might get the newsletter a little late). Kenyan award-winning band Sauti Sol launched their album virtually. There were a lot of tweets and Instagram posts throughout the virtual event that would've made you feel like you were missing out. And to be honest, if you didn't attend, you missed out.

Live virtual events for me have been a challenge during this pandemic. It means having to reorganize my schedule to create time for said event and with low energy levels a challenge and WhatsApp messages popping up every now and then, it's not the easiest of tasks. Let's not forget you have to be settled to be present fully. However, for Sauti Sol, I didn't want to miss out. I've always been a fan.

The Midnight Train album launch was a wholesome experience; it delivered on great music (Sober, Midnight Train and Rhumba Japani are my fave jams), tasteful visuals in terms of costumes and video production and a feel good vibe (I was smiling the entire time)
