In 2018, celebrated rapper Fik Fameica dropped one of his best music projects dubbed 'My Property', making him a renowned artiste in Uganda.

The song did really well and topped several charts across the country. However, two years later, renowned lawyer Prasidia Nagasha has reportedly moved to court seeking to have the song banned.

According to the lawyer, the song is demeaning, disrespectful and also advocates for violation of women rights in the society.

In the song, Fik Fameica cautioned other guys not to mess with his girl, terming her to his property, “my chapatti, my bugatti and my yorghut” something that did not sit right with women rights activists.

This is not the first time the song is coming under criticism. In 2019, a group of teenage girls from across the country petitioned the Ministry of Information and National Guidance to ban the song.

However, the song was neither banned nor deleted from YouTube. The video has over 2.2 million currently.

Following reports that Nagasha had filed a case against Fameica, claims emerged indicating that the artiste had been summoned by the courts.

However, speaking to Matooke Republic, Fik Fameica denies receiving any court summons over the song.
