Fast-rising Ugandan vocalist Martha Mukisa has been trending online following the release of her hit single ‘International & Local’.

The youngster who was recently signed by John Blaq's former record label, Black Magic Records has spoken out on reports that she was the reason the 'Ngamba' hit maker quit the label.

In an interview, Martha Mukisa dismissed the claims stating that she had no idea John Blaq was having issues with management, adding that she got to know about it from the media just like other Ugandans.

"It is not true, John Blaq is a very big artiste who has made a name in Uganda. I just can't push him out of his hustle. The label just looked for and signed me," Martha divulged.

According to her, by the time she signed for the label, she was very sure of joining John Blaq's team, only to later learn that the artiste was no longer part of the team.

She, however, says it would be an honor to work on the same project with John Blaq because she is a big fan of the artiste.

"Before I got signed, I used to do challenges on his songs and upload them, so it would be a pleasure and I would feel so blessed and lucky," she opined.

‘International and Local’ was her first project under the label and it was produced by Wani.
