2020 has been a tough year for most musicians in Tanzania, with many struggling to set up a concrete digital presence following the spread of corona virus which forced many governments to ban movements into and out of their countries.

While many artistes were struggling, some were making it big thanks to their investment on digital platforms.

One such artiste is Diamond Platnumz who has been setting one record after the other on his YouTube channel.

A few months ago, he became the African musician to have over one billion views on his YouTube channel, then later became the first East African artiste to have a song hit over 100 million views thanks to his ‘Yope Remix’ in collaboration with I’noss B.
