Gyedu-Blay Ambolley Claims that Kofi Kinaata is the only Artiste Doing Good Highlife Music

Highlife artiste, song composer and producer Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, has hailed Kofi Kinaata for always doing sensible music. In his own words, he described Kofu Kinaata as the only Ghanaian musician who is currently doing good Highlife Music; hence preserving the indigenous Highlife music in the country.

The Legendary musician said this in an interview with Joy Prime TV where he said that over time, he has observed that musicians such as Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale do not have Ghanaian roots when it comes to music.

“If you take Kinaata, when he sings you could see that there is kind of locality in there and when he is rapping to you can see the locality”, Ambuley said during his interview with Joy Prime TV.

Ambuley further added that even though Kofi Kinaata is doing well musically, he needs to put in more effort to ensure that he remains relevant to be able to protect his identity in the music industry.

The ‘Sususka’ hitmaker is undeniably one of the young Ghanaian artistes what have been noted to be doing quality music that has meaningful lyrical content. His songs such as ‘Things Fall Apart’ and ‘Susuka’ have been rated as some of the best music of all time with good and meaningful lyrics.
