Diamond Drops New Song Dubbed ‘Simba’

Renowned Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz has dropped a new song dubbed ‘Simba’ in honor of Simba Football club after they had a successful season.
A couple of weeks ago, Diamond promised to compose a song for Simba FC if they won the Azam Sports Federation cup against Namungo Fc, and true to his word, he has released a praise song for the football giants.
“Of course kila mtu anajua mimi naipenda sana simba na licha tu kwamba mwenyewe najiita simba lakini pia naipenda simba mi ni shabiki mkubwa wa simba na hata kabla haijafika nilikua naiombea kheri….Ntawatungia nyimbo maalum kwa sababu yao tu, sababu ndio uwezo wangu uko hapo,” he said back then.
Adopting a Singeli beat, Diamond goes all out praising the team for winning the cup and having a wonderful season.

“ …Aga waambie Simba. Simba kiboko yao, waambie wekundu wa msimbazi Simba kiboko yao, Ooh taifa Kubwa Simba kiboko yao, Ohh this is Simba Simba Kiboko yao, Ona Manara anacheza, Anashangilia Ushindi amekuja, Moh Anarukaruka, Anashangilia Ushindi Umekuja…,” the song’s lyrics read in part.
‘Simba’ is synonymous to his stage name thus a clear depiction of his love for the big team.
So far, only the audio version has been released with the video expected later. The audio is doing well online and has over 70,000 views in less than a day.
