Diamond, Rayvanny and Zuchu Set to Feature on DJ Rommy Jon’s New Album

Wasafi’s official Deejay, DJ Rommy Jon’s is set to launch his new album dubbed ‘Changes’.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday afternoon, Rommy Jons revealed that his album will be launched next weekend on 16th August at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dar es Salaam.

Jons is the first Tanzanian DJ to have a complete album as he features top artistes from across Africa.

The ‘Changes’ album has 12 songs with artistes like Diamond Platnumz, Zuchu, Mbosso, South Africa’s Sho Madjozi, Kenya’s Khaligraph Jones, Rayvanny, Ycee, Mimi Mars among others.

“Changes ni album yangu ya kwanza ni album ambayo imenigharimu miaka miwili sasa. Ni album ambayo nimejaribu kwa mara ya kwanza na kwa Tanzania me DJ wa kwanza kufanya alblum…” he said in part.

Albums and EPs have been a common trend in Tanzania this year, with most artistes opting to release EPs and albums as a way of broadening their catalogue.

At Wasafi, Zuchu dropped an EP in March, with reports indicating that Mbosso is set to drop a new album, while Lava Lava is on course to finalizing his EP.

Speaking during a recent interview, WCB manager Sallam SK hinted that Diamond Platnumz could also drop an album soon.
