Several bongo musicians have announced a series of live performances in Tanzania after the Coronavirus lock down.

In recent months, large gatherings had been banned as a means of containing the spread of the virus.

A month after Tanzania declared victory over the virus, normal music activities are now resuming.

One of the musicians set to hold a show is Alikiba who will be touring the Mtwara region early in  August.

Through his Twitter account, an elated Alikiba stated that he can't wait for the show having last performed in the region nine years ago.

The concert is part of Alikiba’s ongoing Tanzanian tour.

On the other hand, Nandy will also be touring Dodoma with a scheduled concert on July 12.

“Walaaaaah DODOMA! nime miss show jamaaaan jamaaaan!! Itakuwa historia ROYAL VILLAGE,” posted Nandy.

It is worth mentioning that most musicians have seen their revenue streams cut down due to the ban on live shows.

In the coming days, more artists are expected to announce live shows.

Tanzania is the first country in the East African region to open up and allow public gatherings following a ban due to the corona virus pandemic
