Zuchu Joins Tanzanian Music Heavyweights as ‘I am Zuchu’ EP Hits 21 Million Streams

Just a day after she was awarded a Silver YouTube play button award, Zuchu has hit another milestone in her music career.
Her EP ‘I am Zuchu’ has secured over 2million streams on boomplay-tz and 21Million across all Digital platforms.
This becomes the first EP to hit such numbers in such a short time especially in Tanzania.
Taking to her Instagram page, an elated Zuchu thanked her fans for the continuous support of her music.
“GOD I THANK YOU. Nashukuru kwa mashabiki wote mnaoendelea kunishika mkono .Hii imekua ni miezi miwili Yenye mafanikio tangu nitambulishwe mmekua mkinishangaza kwa support na positivity mlionayo juu yangu.Nawapenda sana na Mwenyezi Mungu atuweke ili niweze kukutana nanyi Tarehe 18 -July .Nina vingi vya kuwashukuru haitoshi tu kuwaandikia .Nawapenda sana Kwa mnavonisapoti ZUCHU wenu .I LOVE EACH ONE OF YOUUU .21,000,000 million in all the digital platforms,” reads her caption.
From her EP, Zuchu has so far released 4 music videos and the remaining two will be released soon.
The remaining visuals are for two collaborations ‘Ashua’ ft Mbosso and ‘Mauzauza’ ft her mother Khadija Kopa.
At the same time, Zuchu has proven beyond doubt that music is a part of her. When she started out, a section of music lovers faulted her boss Diamond Platnumz for signing a Taarab sound for contemporary bongo music.
