SONG OF THE DAY: Ice Prince featuring AKA, N Word (remix)

We all love West African music admittedly or not. Why? Is it the sound? The style of delivery? Or perhaps the artists themselves?  Answers seem to evade anyone who asks this question, but if there’s one thing that is certain, it’s the constant admiration for their music.

Well brace yourself East Africa, because one of Nigeria’s brightest star and Africa’s leading artist Ice Prince, is back onto the airwaves with the remix of his club banging hit, “N Word”.

This time he decided to spice things up by adding an extra voice from South African rap prince, AKA! If you have had the chance to listen to the original version then you know better than to expect anything less than a seismic hit, a perfect 10 on the Richter scale.

Ice prince goes in first with his inequitable word play and lyrical metaphors switching from one flow to another and impressive tone variations. He again reminds you why he is christened the “Ice Prince” because the rap on this track is so cool!

The rollercoaster ride doesn’t end here, No! The “Mzansi kid” comes in the second verse, picking it up with his fancy accent and  the laid back rap. Is it just me or do you feel like a certified gangster every time you listen to an AKA song? Well, his rhythmical ingenuity makes any American rapper feel like they should go back to music school! He is really that good!

I mean, if there’s a word that you think can’t rhyme with anything, AKA will make you rethink your stand on that.

I could probably make a galaxy out of the infinite good words I have to say about this song, but isn’t it easier if I just let you listen to the song and have your say? Follow the link below and listen to the song, “N Word”
