Tanzanian songstress Nandy is one of most talked about musicians in East Africa at the moment, thanks to her viral hit ‘Acha Lizame’ featuring Harmonize.

The new release has gone viral across the region, and is currently topping several musical charts in the continent.

Thanks to the new hit, Nandy has set a new record in the East African region, being the first female musician to have her song hit one million views on YouTube within 48 hours.

An elated Nandy took to Instagram to appreciate her fans for helping her achieve the milestone.

“Oooooh my GOD nawapenda sana mashabiki zangu sio nguvu zangu ni nyie jamaaan! Masaaa 48 kweli???? Mmeniweka kwenye record mpya ya wasanii wa kike eastafrica  AFACHEEEE ASANTEEEEEE ASANTENIIIII!! Jeshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii uko wapi,” she posted.

‘Acha Lizame’ is a love song done by two lovers expressing their feelings to each other. They go in to details of how they desire to be together once the sun goes down.

“Mapenzi yetu ni ya mimi na wewe tu, Usiskize watu, Wananyongwa mbaya, Basi nifanyie kitu na boxy, Usiku nipe shoti, Ama ishike magoti, Nileweshe mkomboti, Ooh ah mi mwenzako imeshanikolea, My baby boy, Ooh ukienda zako mi nitanyong’onyea….” the song’s lyrics read in part.
