The bongo star will battle it out with Ghanian rapper Sarkodie, Angelique Kidjo, Juliet Ibrahim, and South Africa’s Nasty C.

This category seeks to award celebrities who had an outstanding year but based out of Nigeria.

The wards are slated to take place on Saturday, June 13 in Lagos Nigeria.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the awards will be held virtually in a bid to control the virus spread.

The Net Honours awards were launched four years ago, and have been growing yearly to include global stars.

The nomination of Diamond does not come as a surprise considering that he has set several milestones in the past year.

This week, the WCB president became the only African artist to hit one billion views on YouTube.

Additionally, his ‘Jeje’ single was well-received across Africa, and is currently topping several musical charts in the continent.
