Stonebwoy & M.anifesto to Represent Ghana in the MTV Base Concert
Ghanaian top artistes Stonebwoy and M.anifesto are set to perform in the upcoming virtual concert on the 25th of May 2020. The concert titled Africa Day Benefit will be performed at home in line with the current directive against social gatherings.
Other African artists who will be performing in the event include Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage, Tanzania’s Diamond Platinumz, South Africa’s Sho Madjozi, Benin’s Angelique Kidjo, Kenya’s Sauti Sol, rapper Sean Paul, reigning Miss Universe, Zozibini Tunzi, South American Comedian Trevor Noah amongst many others.
The two hour event will be streamed and broadcasted on the MTV Base Africa, MTV channel and on Youtube. Actor and musician, Idris Elba who was diagnosed with Covid-19 will be hosting the concert through a partnership with music channel, MTV Base Africa, and YouTube.
The concert aims at raising funds to support African families and children affected the Covid-19 pandemic. All the funds that will be raised on this event will go to UNICEF and the World Food Program who have been supporting African communities affected by Corona Virus.
The two popular Ghanaian musicians Stonebwoy and M.anifesto are excited to be the ones to raise the Ghanaian flag in the Africa Day Benefit event. Both of them have posted about the event on their Instagram pages with Stonebwoy saying “Glad to be a part of this great initiative hosted by the legendary @idriselba #stayhomestaysafe.”
