Stevo Simple Boy's comical wave added to his name in 2022 and he even released a song ‘Freshi Barida’ to this effect.

It was largely streamed on YouTube and he also remixed it featuring Mejja, Ntosh Gazi and Eray but it is not his favourite song yet.

In a recent admission during an interview with Kenya Online Media, Simple Boy said he doesn’t like ‘Freshi Barida’ despite the perception by his fans that it is his best song so far.

He explained why he didn't enjoy the song, stating that he felt he performed below average because the tune didn't flow with his lyrics the way he intended it to.

“In the songs I don't like, 'Freshi Barida' is one; I didn't flow the way I wanted. Even though many fans love that song, from my perspective as a composer, I don't like it," he stated.

However, his all-time favourite song is ‘Makasisi’ because he had the right conviction and mindset when doing the song.

Simple Boy is glad that he exposed a subject that a lot of people find sensitive. He still maintains that fake preachers should be called out because all they do is taint God’s image.

In another breath, the artist said that Khaligraph Jones inspires him with his hip hop style and he borrows a lot from it.

Further, he said that he would like to collaborate with Nadia Mukami in future because she delivers her songs beautifully and flawlessly.
