Veteran Tanzanian gospel artiste Christina Shusho has revealed what it will take for her to be part of a secular music concert.

Speaking during a recent interview, Shusho pointed out that she is open to mingling with secular artistes at music concerts, but some conditions have to be met.

“I have no problem with performing at a secular concert. However, I’m known to be strict with various conditions. If a promoter is open I will give them my conditions and if they agree I’m good to go,” said Shusho.

The ‘Unikumbuke’ singer was reacting to a recent storm in Tanzania after Goodluck Gozbert, a gospel artist participated in the Fiesta music festival.

Shusho defended the artiste stating that in such situation, a gospel musician can either benefit or lose on his credibility.

“If you go to such a place and leave a positive mentality, then you will reap big, however, if you have a weak faith it means you will be swallowed. It is fine as long as the festival did not erode his faith standing,” said Shusho.

The legendary musician noted that one needs to have a strong faith before mingling with the secular world.
