Tanzanian gospel musician Paul Clement has dropped a new video dubbed ‘Wageni’.

‘Wageni’ is a Swahili phrase that loosely translates to ‘visitors. In the song, Clement narrates some of the challenges that have visited his life.

He describes how ‘Wageni’ affected his life, and placed him in a corner where he felt like his life was not worth it.

He, however, notes that like all visitors, they did not last. He uses the ‘Wageni’ phrase to encourage us that challenges are part of life, and will soon pass away.

“Hawa ni wageni tena wapitaji, hawatadumu watapita. Hakuna jambo lolote ngumu litakalodumu kwenye maisha yako ila yote yatapita na yakishapita hayatarudi tena. Tough times never last but tough people do,” the song’s lyrics read in part.

The vocals are on point, and the video very simple, giving you ample time to concentrate on the main message in the song which is nothing lasts forever.

‘Wageni’ is timely and comes at a time when the world is battling with the corona virus pandemic. The song is a reminder that corona is a visitor, and it will soon pass away.

As you stay at home, please be encouraged that corona will pass and your normal life will resume soon.
