How Davido, Yemi Alade, Simi Celebrated Mother's Day

Sunday, May 10, was the day where people across the globe were celebrating Mother's Day.
Mother's Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May
In this era of social media, such a day is when people celebrate their mothers or mothers of their children by posting their photos on either Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter or Instagram.
It is a trend that won't go unnoticed even among the so called celebrities.
In Nigeria, some of the popular musicians who publicly celebrated their mothers is Davido, Simi and Yemi Alade.
The three award-winning singers marked the day in their own unique ways.
For Davido, he posted a past photo of his mother with him when he was still young.
He captioned the photo; "happy Mother’s day MAMA Keep resting in Perfect peace ! We Dey worry dem down here Wish u were here."
Davido's mother Dr Veronica Imade Adeleke died in 2003 at a young age of 39 years.
Yemi Alade opted to post a short video of her mom singing along to one of her songs alongside a tweet: "#HappyMothersDay to us all."

Simi also shared a video of her mum singing and captioned it: "Happy Mother's Day to the mommies that are and the mommies to be..."
The 'Duduke' hitmaker is a mother to be, now that she's expecting her first born soon.
Another singer who also marked Mother's Day on social media is DMW's Mayorkun who posted a photo of her mother on Instagram with a message "Happy Mother's Day Mum. Love you."
