Renowned Tanzanian musician Mbosso is the latest member of the Wasafi crew to reveal the amount he has lost due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking during an interview on Sunday, Mbosso revealed that he has lost about Tsh100 million in canceled shows.

“I have lost about Tsh100 million due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We had canceled bookings meaning I could not perform during shows,” said Mbosso.

Last week, Wasafi boss Diamond Platinumz revealed that due to the pandemic, he lost about Tsh3.5 billion after his shows were canceled.

When the pandemic began spreading across the world, Diamond was touring Europe and at some point, he almost got stranded due to flight cancellations.

Apart from losing revenues, the Wasafi team has been impacted after Diamond’s Manager Sallam SK, and producer Ayo Laizer were infected with the virus.

During the interview, Mbosso added that with no shows to perform, he mainly spends his time in the studio.

The pandemic has given him time to work on more songs that are expected to be released once things go back to normal.

As a means of curbing the Coronavirus spread, many countries banned gatherings meaning that musicians could no longer hold shows.

As a result, a majority of entertainers are now utilizing online platforms to share live performances with fans.
