Diamond, Alikiba Come Together for Noble Initiative

Bongo heavyweights Diamond Platnumz and Alikiba are joining hands to support health workers fighting the Coronavirus pandemic.
The two artistes are joining other Tanzanian celebrities in an initiative that is being spearheaded by one of the country’s top media platforms Clouds FM.
The initiative dubbed ‘Bonge la Mpambanaji’ was initiated by Clouds Media General Manager Joseph Kusaga.
On Monday, both Diamond and Alikiba pledged to support the initiative with the Wasafi honcho promising to contribute an unspecified amount of money towards the initiative.
On the other hand, Alikiba through his foundation, Sama Kiba, has pledged to contribute 200 personal protection equipment, to protect health workers during their interaction with infected patients.

Notably, the initiative brought together Diamond and Clouds Radio who have been feuding for two years.
During this period, no music from Wasafi Classic record was ever played on the station.
Diamond made the pledge during a live call on the radio, where his music was played. He congratulated the station for taking the initiative.
In recent years, both Alikiba and Diamond have been involved in a feud that was majorly propelled by fans on who is the king of bongo. It is encouraging to see them put aside their differences and help health workers at this time of need.
At the start of the coronavirus pandemic, several Tanzanian musicians were involved in the sensitization campaign regarding the virus.
