Artist of the Day: Diddi Kimer

No one is immue to change in life. How we take the change is what matters. Try flipping a coin and see what happens; it either lands on heads or tails you really can’t stop it from landing.

Same applies to life. You really can’t stop some things from happening once they are in motion. In the case of Gospel artist Diddi Kimer, he went from the rock at the bottom of the water fall to the foundation upon which the water runs along! One of those zero to hero moments.

“Someone should have  met me when I was starting music. I was as broke as brokeness itself, I had one white trouser I loved so much.Guys used to Identify me with that because I wore to every special function!!! By then,I used to rap with my intros as long as a whole verse. Please don’t laugh woiye!” said the artiste, Diddi Kimer.

“The 1st producer who ever took me seriously recorded my music in an Agro-vet shop with a laptop and those cyber headphones that have a mic.The microphone was one I got from church(Ahuja), a JuaCali mixer with only bass, treble and volume every man knows that mixer not unless we ni babi, the booth was made of cartons and could only fit one person so hot it was that we could not record with our shirts on even ladies hahaha!!!! So much was my determination and quitting was never a choice.” He added.

I sincerely feel like am blessed beyond words. Having not gone through such episodes in my life, having enough pants to wear and basically abundant of everything, I cannot imagine Diddi Kimer went through all these and still managed to be the name on everyone’s lips for all the good reasons.

Life really isn’t predictable as you can see. And his music spells every bit of the words talent and determination. From ”Olenkodikod”, “Osirwa” and now his latest jam “Taborra” whose video will be dropping on the 24^th, he will be an unstoppable force in the gospel industry.
