Davido's Sweet Birthday Message To Fiance Chioma As He Decries Lockdown Effects

Nigerian superstar Davido's soon-to-be wife Chioma Avril Rowland will be celebrating her 25th birthday on Friday.

Chioma was born on May 1, 1995.

With just hours before she turns a year older, her fiance Davido has already wished her a happy birthday.

In a sweet birthday message posted on his official social media pages on Thursday morning, Davido termed Chioma as "the strongest woman I know".

The '1 Milli' hitmaker also opened up about how Chioma has been making him happy.

But with Lagos, where they are now, on a lockdown as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, there might not be a big birthday party going down for Chioma, a fact that Davido decried.

Had things been normal, the Afrobeats singer pointed out that they could turn the city upside down.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE STRONGEST WOMAN I KNOW !!! Ohhhh Man if we wasn’t on lockdown u already know we for turn the city upside down!! !!!! My dear wife, may your birthday be as happy as you have made me. AND THATS ON GANG ! #1 CRO," Davido tweeted alongside two photos of Chioma.

Chioma and Davido welcomed their firstborn son last year.

Davido named the child after himself and included an Igbo name, Ifeayin which was provided by Chioma who comes from Imo State from a family of Seventh-day Adventists.

Davido proposed to Chioma in London, the United Kingdom on September 12, 2019, 10 days after the couple's families had an introduction in Lagos, Nigeria.

The two were widely expected to officially get married this year but it is not clear whether the marriage plans remain as they were given the current Coronavirus pandemic.
