As we come to the end of April, we look back at some of the finest songs that your favorite artists have released this month.
Even though the entertainment industry has somehow been affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, I can bet you have not felt any effects when it comes to the quality of music that Nigerian musicians have been dropping.
I must admit that there are many songs that were released this month, so we can’t sample each one of them, but these five are a must-have in your playlist, in no particular order;
Sweet Mary J
If you are the kind of person who likes listening to reggae tunes, then this song by Kcee, a Nigerian singer and songwriter, is what you need to add on that playlist of yours.

The original Lenu song by Buju was released in 2019 but the official video of a remake of it that features Grammy nominee Burna Boy was released on April 16th.

‘Call’ whose video brings out a dystopian, sci-fi love story set in an apocalyptic Lagos is the lead single in Joeboy’s upcoming debut album.
Konjinaba
For the lovers of songs with street catchy lyrics, Konjinaba by DMW’s Dremo featuring Marlian President Naira Marley is what you need.
The song is part of Dremo’s recent project dubbed Codename Vol.2.
Duduke
This is a hot jam that was served by Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress Simi. To her, this is a song dedicated to her yet-to-be-born child but for you, it can be a dedication to your lover or someone special.
