It is barely 5 days since Afrobeats singer Davido dropped visuals for his 2019 hit single ‘D&G’ off his ‘A Good Time’ album.

The video featuring American Rhythm and Blues (R&B) singer and songwriter Summer Walker premiered on April 24 and as of Wednesday, April 29, it had surpassed one million views on YouTube.

A look at the official video posted on the American online video-sharing platform indicates that it has over 1.2 million views.

It is no surprise that the ‘D&G’ video is performing extremely well considering the media coverage it has received since it premiered.

While releasing the song’s visuals, Davido said its proceeds would go towards supporting research on Covid-19.

The singer’s fiancé had tested positive for the virus and noted that his decision to donate funds from his song to support research for Covid-19 was informed by the fact that many people had been affected.

"People are really going through a hard time. This is the first time something like this has paused the whole world. A lot of people out here make money from day to day, like, surviving day to day pay. That's not possible because we all have to stay inside," Davido told CNN.

‘D&G’ is part of the 17-track album that was officially released on November 22, 2019, through Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), RCA Records and Sony Music.
