Award-winning Kenyan gospel musician Bahati has dropped a new video dubbed ‘Mwisho wa Dunia’.

‘Mwisho wa Dunia’ is a Swahili word that loosely translates to end of the world.

In the new release, Bahati prays that the current corona virus pandemic, that has placed the world on lock down, should not mark the end of the world.

He highlights the challenges the virus has caused including; loss of jobs, thousands of deaths, destabilization of the economy among others.

“… Tunaikosa riziki Baba, tunaumia, tunalia corona corona, Yule maskini mama asiye na njiaau watoto wa mitaani omba omba, mwisho, isiwe mwisho… mwisho wa dunia,” the lyrics read in part.

His mellow voice accompanied by the beats creates a sad mood, depicting the pain millions of people are growing through globally due to the pandemic.

The video has been shot in the abandoned streets of Nairobi; showing how bad things are. It also incorporates clips from President Uhuru Kenyatta, Ministry of Health and other happenings across the world in regards to the virus.

Barely a day after it premiered, the video has over 75,000 views on YouTube, an indication that it is set to be a huge tune.

Meanwhile, Bahati has been a subject of discussion on social media following claims that he was dissed by Khaligraph in his latest hit ‘HAO’.

However, Khaligraph has dismissed the claims.
