4 East African Albums You Should Listen to During This Quarantine Period

In 2020, a new trend has emerged in the East African music industry where artists are embracing the release of albums.
Already, this year, leading musicians have dropped albums to entertain fans.
With many fans spoilt for choice, this article looks at the top four albums you need to listen to at the moment.
1. Afro East- Harmonize
The Afro East album is worth listening to considering it has all elements of the African music scene.
Harmonize has collaborated with top acts such as Khalighraph Jones and Burna Boy giving the album the much-needed flavour.

Other artistes featured in the album include; Morgan Heritage, Mr. Blue, Lady JayDee, Skales, Phyno, DJ Seven among other established artists.
Furthermore, the album addresses various themes from love to life in general, meaning we can all resonate with it.
The album has 17 tracks that include; Mama, Uno, Bed room, Hujanikomoa among others.
2. I am Zuchu- Zuchu
Zuchu announced herself to the music world by dropping an EP that has been received well.
In this project, Zuchu features other Wasafi members like Mbosso and her mum Khadija Kopa.
‘I am Zuchu’ revoles around love, and has seven hits that include; Raha, Wana, Mazauza, Nisamehe, Kwaru, Hakuna Kulala, and Ahua.
3. The Servant and The King – King Kaka
Last month, King Kaka took his career to the next level with a 14-track album, that had wisely selected collaborations from across the African continent.
The album features top names in the continent including; Kwesi Arthur, Kelechi Africana, Odi wa Muranga among others.
Some of the top songs in the album include; Kesi, Zarika, Acknowledge, Nataka, Uko, Iko Sawa, Stupid and etc .

4. The African Princess – Nandy
Early this month, Celebrated Tanzanian Songstress Nandy finally dropped thirteen songs for her much awaited album ‘The African Princess’.
Her album has nicely crafted love songs that will surely blow you away.
Some of the songs in the album include; Ninogeshe, Powerful, Bado, Kivuruge, Aibu, Oneday, Kongoro, Wasikudanyanye, Hazipo and Thamani.
All the four albums are well crafted, have high quality music and cut across several genres and themes.
