Davido Shares Turbulent Times in His Entry To Music

Nigerian famous and renowned star singer David Adeleke, otherwise known in the entertainment circle as Davido, has opened up and disclosed challenges He went through to kickstart his music career.

In an exclusive interview on Instagram Live with one impressive Nigerian media personality and music director Ubi Franklin, Davido revealed that he went against his father’s wishes for him to finish first his education. Davido recounted how on many occasions He had to skip studies adding up to a whole year just to pursue his passion for music.

While sharing his justification for his deeds, the ‘Aye’ hitmaker indicated that he wanted to relieve his father of some of his roles as a provider for the family. This is both nuclear and extended.
According to Davido, who is a father of three, he nearly broke his father’s heart on the discovery that Davido was in pursuit of music and had skipped an entire academic year.

“When I started music, I didn’t think it was going to go big, I was doing it just to do music. Over time, money started coming." He said.
“My daddy was a disciplinarian, I didn’t even know my dad had that much money. I was on the run for like three months, cause my dad found out I was not in school for a whole year.”
Out of this, all Davido has conquered this music industry giant not only in Nigeria and Africa but throughout the world.
