Drake will give us a deep song then get us into our feelings and right after hit us with a feel good song. He has hit us with a feel good song for his latest single ‘Toosie Slide’.
‘Toosie Slide’ is exactly that; Drake giving us a new dance style that will get you sliding because it is also on a feel good beat.
Drake raps and sings in that Drake-swag over the beat. The beat is a very minimalistic instrumentation which has an RnB vibe to it but has elements of a hip-hop beat in it. Drake’s vocals places the song in both these categories and you can feel what he means when he says he can ‘Michael Jackson I and thug it out.’
The Theo Skudra directed video is apparently shot in his mansion in Canada, probably during this time of Canada. Drake dances through the video while moving from one corner of the house to the next and ends up outside the house with fireworks blazing.
