Nigerian superstar Davido has joined the rest of the world in condemning two French doctors who suggested that a potential vaccine for Coronavirus should first be tested among Africans.

The duo made the suggestion while on French television channel, LCI last Wednesday during a discussion about COVID-19 trials set to be launched in Europe and Australia to see if the BCG tuberculosis vaccine could be used to treat the virus.

The suggestion has since led to an uproar among social media users across the globe with some accusing the two medics of racism.

Davido, a multi-award winning artist has now waded into the matter and suggested that should a vaccine for the virus be found, tests should begin where many cases have been reported so far.

Europe, Asia, and the United States have recorded the highest cases of the virus compared to Africa.

"Make dem go use the vaccine first for where the cases plenty pass," Davido tweeted on Saturday.

The singer has already personally felt the impact of the pandemic as not only has he postponed shows and tours but also his fiancee, Chioma, tested positive for the virus.

Davido, however, tested negative for the second time last week.

"I did a second test for the COVID-19 virus. Once again I’m NEGATIVE," he posted on Facebook.

Despite testing positive, Davido said Chioma had not shown any signs of having the virus and that 'she was doing well'.

Their son had also tested negative.

"Trust me, together we will beat this virus! Thanks again for all the love y’all! The whole family still doing perfectly fine. You guys stay home and stay safe! ya’ll! you Papa! #COVID19 #AdelekeDynasty," the singer posted on Instagram and Facebook on March 31.

Chioma is currently receiving treatment while in quarantine as Davido remains in isolation.
