The Wasafi Classic record label has once again been hit by the ravaging Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This is after Wasafi founder Diamond Platnumz revealed that the label's main producer Ayo Lizer had tested positive for the virus.

Diamond made the revelation while in quarantine after being visited by a health official.

The ‘Jeje’ hit maker stated that despite testing positive, Lizer was doing well.

“Kwa mfano mtu kama Lizer ambaye amekutwa yuko positive lakini anadumu tu freshy … sasa huyo ana mpaka muda gani ndo anaweza kuhurusiwa kwenda nyumba na akiwa hana virus tena,” posed Diamond.

According to the health official, once someone has received treatment for the virus, it disappears from the body completely alongside the flu-like symptoms.

It has emerged that Lizer came into contact with Diamond Platinumz’s manager Sallam Sk who is receiving treatment for the virus.

Sallam was the first Wasafi crew member to contract the virus. It was believed that he was infected while in Paris France touring with Diamond alongside other Wasafi members.

Consequently, the Wasafi crew that accompanied Sallam has gone into quarantine for 14 days.

While in quarantine, Diamond has been updating fans with their progress through videos posted on YouTube.

At the same, the musician has been using the opportunity to sensitize the public about the infection and how to stay safe.
