Review: Intentions

Lyrics

Intentions by Justin Bieber featuring Quavo is a smooth, uplifting track that blends heartfelt lyricism with polished production. Lyrically, the song is a tribute to strong, supportive women, with Bieber showering appreciation on a special person in his life. Quavo’s verse reinforces the theme with his signature laid-back flow. The production, handled by Poo Bear and others, is minimalist yet effective, relying on mellow synths, a crisp beat, and warm chords that keep the focus on the vocals. Bieber’s delivery is effortless, with his signature falsetto adding emotional depth, while Quavo’s melodic rap complements the track’s smooth vibe without overpowering it. The music video enhances the song’s message by shifting the focus from romance to philanthropy. It highlights real-life women making a difference in their communities, reinforcing the song’s theme of appreciation and empowerment. This visual storytelling adds authenticity and depth to what could have been just another love song.
