UGANDA:Introducing Producer Of The Day.

Benon Mugumbya

We chose to cover Benon Mugumbya as our first producer to feature as our first profile in the producer’s category, most Ugandans may probably know him as the soft spoken and smooth voiced singer. He is well known for his RnB songs such as 'Mumuleete', 'Nsazewo' and 'My Lady'.

He is one of the country's most prized assets in the industry. With hits from his Swangz Avenue featuring constantly on various charts, his work never seizes to amaze the crowds since every other day he produces great music endlessly.

Benon is a very talented person, he is both an artist and music producer. He was one half of the singing duo "Benon and vamposs" and is the founder of Swangz Avenue. .

Benon first made his name under a music duo Benon and Vamposs. The duo started doing music in 2000. The duo had successful songs like "Mumulete", "I know", "Nsazewo", and "My lady".

Their song "Mumuleete" made it to the top ten on MTV chart in UK. In 2009, Vampino opted for a solo career as Benon concentrated on music production. He has had successful singles like "Ani yali amanyi" originally done by Elly Wamala, "Hope", "Owana lwaki akaaba" and "Singa Kisoboka".

His audio and film production house Swangz Avenue is more lined with music productions projects, artist’s management and promotion has been very influential in the Ugandan music sector as it has recorded some of the best songs with Ugandan musicians.

Swangz Avenue has signed some of Uganda’s best Artist like Irene Ntale, Winnie Nwagi, Joel Kisakya, Young Zee and a number of other Ugandan artists have done some good music from this production house, some of them include the Good life Crew Sizza, Iryn Namubiru, Aziz Azion, GNL Zamba ,Vampino, Navio, Micheal Ross,Rabadaba and many others.
