Ligi Soo Remix goes viral as Rabbit makes another version

One day we phoned Rabbit Kaka Sungura for comments regarding his song Ligi Soo Remix topping Mdundo charts and he said his main aim in the music industry is to make sure he leaves a mark. A mark to mean that coming generations will at one time say there existed such and such an artist during such and such a time.

Well’ it seems the artist is living up to his words. He got popular through his hit single Dodoma, a collaboration with Harry Kimani, and back in 2011 got even more recognition after his single with Jorma of Lonely Island Spin The Globe became one of Kenya’s most viewed videos on YouTube with over 1.5 million hits.

Rabbit recently did a remix to his hit song Ligi Soo featuring nine other artists on the 11-minute track. So far the song has been received positively with massive downloads on Mdundo. The remix topped the daily and weekly charts for six weeks straight since it was released.

As of today morning, Ligi Soo Remix video had a total of 192,000 views on YouTube, again making it one of the videos by Kenyan musicians with most hits. This is only a few days after the rapper announced he was working on another remix (Ligi Soo African Remix) to include artist from Nigeria, South Africa and Botswana.

Rabbit is currently the only artist on Mdundo to have most songs featured on a single chart with a record of seven songs.
