UGANDA: Aftermath Of The Celebrity Lunch At Ponnus Restaurant.

Last Week We had our celebrity lunch date At Ponnus Restuarant on Tank Hill Road Muyenga, Muyenga, Kampala. which started in 2008 on Kampala road and later in 2011 they moved to Muyenga.

They also have sister restaurant in Soya called Chinnus which is 5 months old.

The celebrity was JAQ Deweyi is a Ugandan-based singer and song writer influenced by Contemporary African Musicians like Brenda Fassie and Angélique Kidjo. JAQ recorded her first single “Oukwamunabi” early 2013 and released it April 26, 2013.2013 which was not a bad year for the singer and song writer, she released her first single in Kampala’s No. 1 night spot; Guvnor, and then went on to release more hits like 'Kyina' , 'Baby baby' , 'so crazy'

The fan who won the Lunch is called Nalweyiso Brenda, a 23 year old Graduate of Kyambogo university. She loves Music, going out with friends but detests sports.

She arrived at 2pm, we got aquainted and also got a chance to look at the menue which was all round as it offered food for everyone, as we waited for JAQ to arrive which happened 10 minutes later.

JAQ arrived wearing her very infectious smile and automatically warmed up to Brenda, exchanging pleasantries and then we proceeded to sit down and wait for the food to come.

the menue of the day consisted of;

Pizza, Biriyani, Tandoori chicken, Naans and Fish Tikka Masala

The mingle of flavours in all the different dishes tantalised our taste budz and everything got much better bite after bite.

The food was served and we struggled to finish it as it was alot.
