Top Tanzanian artist establishes a label to nature upcoming musicians

Top Tanzanian artist Ommy Dimpoz has set up a record label, PKP, which is set to support upcoming artists and also nurture talent in his country.
The famous entertainer who was recently on a tour in London said that apart from music his company will also establish a clothing line.
“PKP ni Poz Kwa Poz ambayo ina vitu vingi ambavyo vya mavazi lakini baadaye pia itakuwa inasimamia wasanii” he said in an interview with EATV.
“Lakini kutakuwa na official launch ambayo itakuwa na mambo mengi kwahiyo si vizuri kuviongelea vitu ambavyo tayari viko kwenye mipango kama hivi unaweza ukatolewa nje ya mpango, kwahiyo najadiliana na management yangu nione tutafanya kitu gani,” he added.
Before his big break into music, Ommy Dimpoz was a band member in TID top band group before deciding to pursue his own solo career.
The “Me and You” hit maker has cemented his position and established himself as one of the top artists in Tanzania in collaborating with some of the best acts in the East African region.
“Tupogo” his collaboration with Nigeria’s J martins is currently receiving massive airplay across the region, and it seems like hard work is finally paying of for the singer who was once accused of being a member of a satanic cult.
