KENYA: Willy Paul ft. Sauti Sol 'Take it Slow' Sounds Even Better Than You Could Have Imagined

It was perhaps the most anticipated Willy Paul song ever and of course as is always with the young gospel artist, shrouded in controversy.

First it was the Sauti Sol fans asking the band not to collaborate with the gospel artist because of his controversial nature, but despite that the band went ahead to record the song and assure their fans that there was no reason to worry.

And then it came to the delay of the release of the song to which Willy Paul attributed to threats he had received not to release the song or see his ‘good’ name get tarnished.

Now the song is out and with all its glory, I must say Willy Paul and Sauti Sol sound even better than we could’ve imagined.

The song Take it Slow, produced by Teddy B and Sauti Sol’s Savara sounds more like a Sauti Sol song than Willy Paul, with the youngster gelling so well with the band that it almost feels like he is part of the band itself.

The video which is shot by Young Wallace is also magnificently done, all in all I give this project an 8/10 and it may well be the best we’ve seen of Willy Paul so far. Now the only question is, will he be able to rise to the challenge again without Sauti Sol?
