Mr. 2Kay is one of the fastest rising names in Nigeria’s music industry and Africa. Signed to Nigeria’s Grafton Entertainment he released his first jam Waterside Boy in 2011 and though he’s only been in the industry for 6 years, he already has a collection of accolades to his name.
He’s received a total of 6 awards in his career most notably the Next Rated Category of the PNA 2014, Best Collabo of the year at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards in New York 2015, Artiste of the Year 2015 at the Niger Delta Advancemcement Awards and the Video of the Year 2015 at the Scream Awards.
He’s also worked with some of the biggest names in Nigerian music the likes of Iyanya, Chidinma, Timaya in their hit jam Moniegram, Patoranking in Bad Girl Special, as well as Cynthia Morgan and Seyi Shay in the remix of Bad Girl Special.
Bad Girl Special is one of his most popular songs on heavy rotation on radio stations both locally and internationally as well as topping the MTV Base, Trace Urban and Soundcity charts.
Mr. 2Kay is a proven lyricist a fact he’s shown severally in his songs especially hit single Who No Like Better Thing, making waves across Africa in 2015 and trending on Twitter reaching over 3 million people. Its message was simple, we all want that good life.
His recent release Count it all Joy is no different, also backed by a positive message the fact that we should be happy for all our achievements in life.
