KENYA: Why President Uhuru Invited Sauti Sol and Willy Paul to Ghana's 59TH Independence Day

Over the weekend Ghana celebrated its 59 years of independence and one of the honorable guests to the celebrations was President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He however did not go by himself. But unlike the presidents before him, he did not have fellow politicians tag along with him, instead he took some of Kenya’s best talents, Sauti Sol and Willy Paul.

And one couldn’t help but wonder at the President’s choice to invite both Sauti Sol and Willy Paul. A curious choice indeed because other than being the top artists in their respective fields, the two had actually just recently been in studio together producing a new collaboration.

Could it be that the President brushes up in his current affairs in the music industry? That we may never know but what we do know is that Sauti Sol and Willy Paul both put up quite the show at the independence celebrations.
