Moment of Truth: Kalimani gives a touchpoint evaluation on Octo Vs Khali beef!

You don’t know Kalimani then you’re one of the few people in Kenya who use newspapers for wrapping meat.

The guy is a deep, prolific lyricist and all-round Hiphop artist based in Nakuru, or otherwise the sin city. Like Khaligraph, he raps in English, Swahili but with a little French in it and unmatched versatility.

I won't even go into describing him right now, what he said is more important and urgent: Read...

"I've just taken a listen to the Octo diss track by Khaligraph called I Run The 254. The beat is great. I would have loved to do something on it given the chance. The delivery, as usual, was good. Khali has a unique voice and he knows how to use it to his advantage. He has a good flow and the multi-syllable rhymes serve his cause well.

Khaligraph mentions that the only reason Octo has got where he is by being supported by a white lady. Well, I personally have no business with who a man chooses to bed. I asked myself this: what if Octopizzo were still being supported by his lady, but this particular lady was black? Would it have made any difference? And so what if he's been supported by a white lady? Did Coca Cola endorse the lady or Octo? Is it the lady who was on tour with Safaricom Live? Well, an opinion is like a certain excretory orifice I know. Everybody has one.

Khali calls him an Illuminati wannabe. That I concur with, 100 % and will not talk about further. The publicity stunt is too obvious.

Octo tried to diss Abbas, who let it slide. I never supported that beef that time, much as I don't this one. The Bamboo vs Octo one in my opinion was a joke but dissing Abbas was trying to test a legend. Abbas and Octo can and never will be at the same level as emcees.

"Maskini akipata matako hulia mbwata, ukatoka ma-boys wako ukijidai we ndo smarter." Plain truth. How comes Octo has to keep mentioning YGB but has never rolled with them again. Which YGB is he still mentioning in his songs because we all know YGB includes Virus, Slumdawg and The Mistake? Ditching his crew was a move I believe will come back to bite him one of these fine days. Another truth that Khaligraph mentions: Virus is undoubtedly way better than Octopizzo.

Khali talks of how Octo was once broke and would ask for 'nyama quarter.' Much as Octo is full of himself and his newly acquired wealth, I don't believe he's ever lied as to how broke he once was. I don't believe that would be a punch to leave any sticker on Octo's face.

"I walk around thinking you're the best in the game, you don't even got a whip, you invest in your chains." The epitome of consumerism on Khali's part. I'm done about that.

"I got things that I have to say, I'm just from a conversation with Dr Dre, he was like... Jones, none of your tracks is wack, for 5 mill can we sign you on Aftermath?"
Well, if this statement is true then dropping this diss track is an utter waste of time. If you're at the level of conversing with Dr Dre, why would be beefing a meagre non-entity like Octopizzo?
Verdict: Blatant lie!

The rest of the lines on the track I do not really see as worth that much note. I'm not much of a beef fan. I believe that if I want to show you that I am better than you, I would do so by doing better work/projects.
Khaligraph has a huge amount of potential to leave a mark on the African continent. I have already had a chance to listen to Aboteri Mos that Khaligraph is set to release probably in a fortnight. That's a nice track. Really nice. He doesn't need to diss Octo to show him that Khali is better. Precisely the reason I have deleted the diss track after listening to it.

Khaligraph's my boy though. Waiting to watch that Aboteri Mos video."
