UGANDA: Vanessa Mdee in Kampala for Women's Day

Tanzanian siren Vanessa Mdee performs in Kampala Monday March 7th ahead of Women’s Day, which is a public holiday in Uganda. Vanessa Mdee will be the headlining act at the "Inspiring Women’s Experience" at Club Play alongside Ugandan songbird Cindy Sanyu with DJ Karo spinning on the decks. Radiocity’s Miss Deedan will be event compere. The event aims to raise awareness with regard to social issues surrounding gender equality and women’s empowerment. The event starts 9pm and revelers will pay UGX30K. Vanessa will then perform at a school outreach program organized by the Reach A Hand Foundation to an audience of 2,000 school children from various schools. She will talk to the learners about making positive life choices. You can become part of the conversation by engaging via #BoysForGirlsMenForWomen, the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day.
