UGANDA: Klear Kut lets it rain with new single

Klear Kut, Uganda’s most recognizable Hip-Hop outfit are letting out a bit of musical precipitation with the release of its the latest single off their long-awaited album bEAST African. The song, Let It Rain drops this weekend on Saturday March 5th, 2016. The album has been more than a decade in the making and follows 2002’s Mind, Body and Soul debut and 2003’s K2. The outfit comprising JB, Langman, NAVIO, Papito, The Mith then disbanded to let its members pursue respective solo projects. Klear Kut started off in 2000 as part of the burgeoning Ugandan underground Hip-hop movement at the time. The group's name is derived from the meticulous process that is shaping and cutting a rough diamond. Klear Kut’s trophy chest includes Kora, Kisima and PAM (Pearl of Africa) gongs. The quintet has collaborated with notable Ugandan artistes like Juliana and Bebe Cool and has shared the stage with international acts like Shaggy, Sean Paul, Tevin Campbell, Kci & Jojo, Montell Jordan and 50 Cent. It’s been quite the journey for the five-some whose debut single Nothing Wrong with a Little Doe launched a string of hits like All I Wanna Know and Superstar featuring Juliana and Bebe Cool respectively. Mon Coeur/ Murder of Crows, the headlining single off their sophomore K2 album was on heavy rotation on regional and continental TV channels. Look out for Let It Rain coming soon on www.mdundo.com.
